Encouraging Visitors From the Canals

GOBA should encourage and support visitors from the canals by expanding our work to the Middle Levels and River Nene. GOBA should found daughter groups - The Middle Levels and River Nene Boating Associations to assist boaters make the long and sometimes difficult journey to the Ouse.

What utter rubbish - long boats belong on the canals, whilst they are welcome here why encourage them when space is already at a premium????????????????????

Bet you delete my post again.

A happy with GOBA the way it is person.

No comments will be deleted if they express genuinely held beliefs, moderately stated. Mind you, using multiple question marks (Or even worse multiple exclamation marks!!), does make my delete button quiver with excitement. I will reply properly when I'm sober.

I will reply now. Ditch Crawlers must be taught the folly of life on still water - Two weeks on the Nene after rain, followed by Salter's Lode - Denver on a ebbing spring time with a force 7 South Westerly, followed briefly by the Fool's Paradise of the Ely Ouse to make them think the worst is over, ending with St Neots to Bedford after an inch of rain, via a flooded Earith and a wrong turning down the Hundred Foot [For 14 miles]. That's Why.

Sorry, even more drunk now. It's just being friendly and welcoming and sharing "Everyone's" river with as many people as possible. If moorings are short, the we must have more moorings. GOBA must be a place for ALL boaters on the Ouse. GOBA membership is more important than having a licence. Much more. I want to see 500 new members by April 2009.
